Two matching pieces were designed for the client's TriBeCa loft. Panels of reclaimed American elm with random size inlays of corten steel fit into a frame of welded structural steel. Working closely with the client to develop the design, the goal was to achieve a modern, streamlined look incorporating the rawness of industrial and rustic elements tempered by highly crafted details. 
The warmth of the wood with their inlaid "rusted" steel rectangles against the cold grey steel structure creates a pleasing palette of colors and textures.
